The Sony SAL 55200 DT, well, for its price (secondhand at RM4xx) its a bargain considering its image quality. It handles Chromatic-Aberration quite well and is reasonably fast at focusing. At both 55mm and 200mm, image is sharp enough for the common photographer and distortion is well handled most of the time. Bokeh at 55mm is considerably pleasant coming from a telephoto zoom lens.
This Lens is definitely one for those who wish to get a decent-good telephoto lens for a very cheap price. The downside though, is that because it is a DT lens (which means it is meant for APSC sensor DSLRs), when mounted on a Full Frame Camera, the image will automatically be cropped and the native megapixel count will drop (eg. a 24MP Sony a900 will record a photo at only 11MP).
